FBB (fat bottom bag)

Last month, I have started making fat bottom bag and decided to use the yarns that I have bought in Korea last year. I wanted to make the color-bar blanket from the crochet book stitch and bitch, But i have changed my mind. the pattern required ten different colors but I have only bought three. I do not want to waste yarns, plus, they're expensive... ^_^. So, I came up  with the idea of making three fat bottom bags, one for me and for my two sisters.

I have started with blue. Next is white, then green.

 The Crochet book has confused me. So, I have looked up online about tips from the people whom finished the bag, then found video on Youtube. I am hoping that  my first attempt of crocheting bag will turn out good.

It has been a busy July for me, I went back to  Paris and visited Prague. I will post pictures soon. Thank you for visiting my blog. Happy crocheting to all !

weekend in Berlin, Germany

We spent our weekend in Berlin, Germany. The weather was not good, it was raining! The sun did not show up from the day we got there to the day we left, But it did not stop me from exploring the city. I have seen few interesting structure, buildings and more. 

here are some places that i have visited during my stay.

 

First stop was the Checkpoint Charlie.

I have paid 5 euro just to have picture take with these guys. oh boy! they're making money just posing with tourists that want a photo in Checkpoint Charlie. In the 60's of course i can't pay them 5 euro for photos ^_^.

 

 and yes, this guy gave us a ride for 18 euro for half an hour. Then he took us here

 The Brandenburg Tor or Gate. One of the city gates that was built in the Berlin.

oh yeah! that's him the cab driver and also a tour guide. lectured us a little bit about the gate.

End up in the Museum Island or Museumsinsel where five museums can be found. Nope, i did not go to any of the museums. 

 I do not know what was that but looks like a huge bird bath :) i should look it up in Google.

okay, that was my rainy weekend in Berlin.

what's happening?

Oh my! Oh my! July is here. Time past by so fast, I feel like I have wasted another month because I did not do reading and exams (sigh). I guess I really need to finish my everyday schedule and start living with it day by day.  Oh well last month I did finished my doilies.

 I wish July will be a productive and full of fun month. Tomorrow we are going to visit Berlin, Germany. Yay! I will keep you posted ^_^. I am  hoping that Berlin is a good choice and not disappointment for me, as my husband wanted to go somewhere else. Crossed-finger that the city visit will be fun. So the weekend will be a win-win weekend.

goodies in the backyard mini garden

i started digging and planting so early this year. i guess because i was bored here. i needed to entertain myself.
Today, i saw some soon to be goodies in my mini garden. i feel so happy.

i found this one in the backyard too, beautiful purple flower :)

 i am enjoying the sun today:) after raining all day yesterday so i am thinking to run or have a nice and relaxing walk through the vineyards.

doily

i found doily photo in the internet and tried to make it. today i have finished it.
the detail on the edge  is my idea. i am not sure if this pattern has copyright, i just hope i will not be sue by the creator of this.
i can't share the pattern of this doily that i have learned by looking on the photo because it is not my original pattern, it is someone else design i am just a copycat! ^_^ but i can share the photo. so here is my doily.

love my skirt

For the first I have worn the crochet skirt I made few months ago, I got the pattern from the crochet book stitch n’ bitch the happy hooker by Debbie Stoller. I bought that book when I went to North Carolina to meet my mother in law for the first time. I like all the patterns in this but the skirt pattern what made me bought it. I ordered the yarns online last November and started doing the skirt and finished it after few weeks, but the first attempt was too big for me. So I did it again. I did not follow the measurement in the book but still followed the design, it turned out pretty good. Today, during my doctor’s appointment I have received few compliments about my skirt and yes, I feel proud. Even though, the pattern and color was not my own idea I still feel proud. I did it without any help and the fact that the pattern was written in English and my first time to really follow an instruction in a book, considering English is not my native language.
